Independent market Poppy’s Greengrocer plans to open its doors this spring at 415 York Road in New Hope.
New Local and Organic Grocery coming to New Hope
Poppy’s will work directly with local farmers to create a retail food hub and community market. Poppy’s Greengrocer is the brainchild of Jennifer Brodsky, a food retailing expert and co-founder of the national food and farm consulting group, Kitchen Table Consultants.
Grass-fed Meat, Sustainably Caught Seafood and More
Poppy’s Greengrocer will have a curated selection of local, organic, low waste and responsibly sourced products in a wide variety of categories, including produce and flowers, grass-fed meat, sustainably caught seafood, sustainable home goods and more.
Chadd Jenkins, former chef-owner of Philadelphia’s Little Fish, will serve as culinary director for Poppy’s Snack Bar, with a menu that will rotate with the farmers’ harvests, and feature sourdough wood-fired pizza, bread and bagels, bone broth noodle bowls, salads, and local nitro coffee and kombucha on tap.
